Guns Make us Safe

I grew up in NYC where gun laws were pretty conservative, where many would assert, the strictest gun laws in the nation reside. I often questioned NYC’s conservative gun laws when the crime rates were high in the 70’s 80’s and 90’s and was often told by folks like Roy Innis that it was due to the restrictive laws that STOPPED citizens from protecting themselves with legally obtained firearms. In NYC, only the thugs and ruffians with their illegal firearms had the power. It seemed self evident guns made us safe, after all the criminals in NYC seemed safer than us unarmed law abiding citizens. So apparent in fact, that I joined their rank and obtained my own illegal firearm (though I never used it in the commission of a crime).

Shariah Law will replace US laws in many cities!!!

Barney's New York

If you are lonely, black or latino and in dire need of attention... Go to Barney's of New York... You will get more attention than anyone has a right to. Three to four security guards will follow your every move down to the blink of your eye. No sales people... But your BFF security guards will be like your shadow.

One thing I know from my experience with Barney's, Barney's is the place that racist rich white people go to shop so they don't have to mix it up with the niggers and spics. Almost anything you purchase in Barney's can be had for a fraction of the cost within a few block radius... But you might have to see some of us dirty niggers there.

Do I think that only racists patronize Barney's? Do I think one must be a racist to visit Barney's? No, but one thing is certain, all of the Barney's prestige, exclusivity and it's elite status are derived from its racist policies.

Open letter to the NON racist Tea Party member...

I do not think that all Tea Party members are racists... Hell, I would even go out on a limb to say that some 80% of them are not racists (maybe even more) and they merely like the low tax and small Federal Government ideology platform.

Long Gone are the Days of Superheroes

From the moment I heard they were making the movie 42, I knew I had to go see it. It was about subject matters very near and dear to my heart; Civil rights, politics, Jackie Robinson, the Brooklyn Dodgers and my hometown Brooklyn. I had grand plans to wear my number 42 Brooklyn Dodgers jersey to the theater.  Well suffice it to say that when it came and went, I was severely disappointed in myself that I had missed it. It just seemed that there was always something or the other preventing me from supporting this movie at the box office.

The Gun Myth

I fully support the 2nd Amendment... But if angels descended from the heavens and offered to destroy all guns and all gun manufacturing capabilities forever, no matter how well they were hidden... I would be all for it. Not positive about that... But I'm pretty sure I would. However, being that will never happen, I'm forced to contend with the idea that a ban on guns is not only a bad idea, but it also will not stop firearm atrocities.

3 weeks ago a 75 year old PAKISTANI MAN WAS BRUTALLY MURDERED in BIRMINGHAM by a WHITE MAN with a machete while he was walking home one evening from the Mosque, the press reported this as an "UNPROVOKED ATTACK" & there were no headlines about the man having a "CHRISTIAN APPEARANCE  or it being a terrorist attack, why is it then when BROWN PEOPLE HAVE KILLED A WHITE PERSON IT IS CALLED A "TERRORIST" attack by a Muslim APPEARANCE??

An Open Letter to Michelle Obama: Beyonce is Not a Role Model.

By Rakhi Kumar
Dear Michelle Obama,
I'm addressing this to you because I admire you. Because you're smart and a mum to two young girls. And you're the First Lady of the USA. And because you were recently quoted as saying that Beyonce is a great 'role model' to your two daughters, and because you recently tweeted, after the Superbowl, that you were 'so proud' of her.

LL Fool J

My disdain for LL started decades ago. I think he was the first TRUE sellout hip hop (minstrel) artist. I respect his legacy and I respect his accomplishments but I have close to zero respect for him as a (black) man. After reading this and watching the video... What little shreds of respect I had, are out the window. This is one of the worst examples of Tomming it up for the white folks I have ever seen. As if this fool had my permission to speak for my (the black) community... A community he has not REALLY even been a part of or an active participant in for decades, to excuse anything FOR US??? I actually tolerate where the WHITE guy is coming from more than him (not that I really truly feel or get his point either) and that is some sad ass shit yo!!!

Robert E Lee R-I-P my fucking ass!!!

Zero respect for LL Fool J

The Spirit of the Law

I often wonder where things went wrong in this country. How things got THIS screwy? I count myself among the minority that realizes that while America might be 237 years old... We have only been a superpower for 70, maybe 80 years. And being a student of history, I realize how uncivilized we were not so long ago. Conversely I also know that no matter how savage and dysfunctional our nation has been in the past (see slavery, woman’s suffrage, Native Americans, Jim Crow, etc…), there has always been a constant steady state of progress. Conditions have ALWAYS improved, for EVERYONE, each generation. No matter how totally fucked up society was at that moment, you were still better off than you were 20 years earlier, better off than your parents and they better than theirs, etc...
