#81 Hip-Hop Mugshot - Gangsta Boo
On July 23rd, 2009 an armed robbery occurred at the Dollar General Store at Olive Branch, Mississippi.
The suspect was armed with a revolver and ordered the store clerks to help him bag the money and then demanded they lie down on the floor while he fled the scene. A warrant was obtained for Marcus Curtis for Armed Robbery. Lola Chantrelle Mitchell (aka Gangsta Boo), has also been charged in this case with Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery.
Gangsta Boo turned herself in and then released under a $100,000 bond pending a January 5 court date.
Gangsta Boo issued this official statement:
"I, Lola C. Mitchell aka Gangsta Boo, was not, I repeat, was not involved in any kind of conspiracy of any kind involving a robbery.
I am being implicated false on statements and terms. I have no connections with any unlawful activities with the suspect Marcus Curtis or anyone else involved in this matter.
I was neither questioned nor informed of any such charges brought against me before a warrant was issued which lead me to turn myself in.
I feel like I have been publicly slandered and targeted because of my career, I am innocent on all charges and the truth will prevail in the end."

After showing up on America's Most Wanted, Bay Area rapper Mac Minister was arrested in San Francisco for the murders of Kansas City rappers Fat Tone and Cowboy. The murders were rumored to be a retaliation for the killing of Bay Area rapper Mac Dre in 2004.
Mac Minister was convicted and sentenced to life in prison.

In the early morning of January 1st 2010, Demetrius Stewart (aka Shawty Redd) was at his home with another individuals who was not an intruder. An argument ensued in which this individual threatened violence against Shawty Redd. Shawty Redd felt his life was in jeopardy and retrieved his firearm for self-defense. As a result, the man that allegedly threatened him was shot and killed. Immediately, thereafter Shawty Redd went to the Henry County police Department and turned himself in.
He is currently awaiting his lawyer and is hoping to get a bond.
