MJ’s Thriller…The Movie!
The video was so epic, I don’t know why they didn’t do this sooner! Thriller the movie is in the works and they’ve tapped the writer from The Hangover, Jeremy Garelick, for the script. Not much is known yet about the plot because it’s being “kept secret” for now, but the rumor is the movie will center on Vincent Price and the town he grew up in.
The film’s budget is going to be capped at about $50 million. That’s cheap for a movie isn’t it? The Jackson estate has to sign off on this, that’s expected to be done shortly. Stay tuned!
Waka Flocka and Manager NOT Happy with the Baracka Flocka Parody Video
Last week, a VERY hilarious parody of Waka’s “Hard in the Paint” was released with “Baracka Flocka Flame” rapping he’s the “head of the motherf*cking state n*gga!” Waka himself even tweeted the video, saying “even the President messing with me haha” and added a link. But I guess his “mom-ager” has gotten to him and now he’s singing a different tune. In a recent interview with the NY Times, Waka and his mom spoke out against the video.
“That they used it to be so sarcastic, it was almost a form of disrespect,” Waka said. He also says he only tweeted it to “let other people see how ignorant other people can be,” ….RIGHT. His manager/mom, Deb Antney, even called up Worldstar to take it down…they didn’t though. LOL. “That’s not a positive image for us, period, as African-Americans, where we came from, where we’re going today,” she said. Oh puh-lease. Is Waka bouncing all around screaming random BOW BOW BOW’s and cursing up a storm exactly a “positive” image either? No. It’s entertainment. Chill out.

Kanye West and Jay-Z Doing a Full Album Together
In a recent interview with MTV, Kanye told Sway that he and Jay are five songs into the album already, and they’ll be going “to the South of France at the end of the month to just record new ideas. But we’ll probably be done with the album in a day.” This will be huge! I’m excited to hear this. What do you think?
Why is the pimp a reoccurring character in Hip Hop music and culture?
Ask yourself these questions… Do you like or admire pedophiles? Are you amused by or do you like child abusers (physical and/or mental)? Do you look up to either of them? Do you know anyone that does? I am going to go out on a limb and guess that the answer to all four questions is no and I will base the rest of this article on that assumption. Why then, do we have such a fascination with Pimps here in America and in Hip Hop culture?

T.I. Won’t Be Charged in L.A. Drug Arrest…But He Got Dropped From Remy Martin Cognac
Gotta take the good with the bad, huh? Today TMZ reported the L.A. County District Attorney has rejected the drug case from his arrest for posession of a controlled substance with his wife Tiny last month.
The D.A.’s office noted he has already been sentenced to 11 months in prison in an Atlanta court for violating his parole so there was no need to sentence him again. There apparently are some legal problems with the case as well.

Four Loko Sickened Several Central Washington University Students
I be trying to tell my friends about this nasty Four Loko junk! That stuff is crack in a can!! Check out the article below about the four GCWU students that got SICK from them!@MarisaMendez
(Huffington Post) - Sugary, high-alcohol energy drinks that are popular with college students who want to get drunk quickly and cheaply came under renewed scrutiny Monday as investigators announced that nine freshmen had been hospitalized after drinking them at an off-campus party.
Wyclef Teams Up With Government Group For $750,000 Election Push!
(Huffington Post) - On Monday, Campaign Money Watch, a project of the Public Campaign Action Fund, is launching an aggressive campaign attempting to get both young and minority voters to the polls. It’s doing it with a bit of star power and sophistication usually reserved for a high-profile congressional candidate.
In addition to spending $750,000 on media advertising over the next week, Campaign Money Watch will be soliciting the services of Wyclef Jean to help promote the message. Jean, who is coming off a failed bid for the presidency of Haiti, will debut a song called “Election Time” for the campaign’s website: “They Win. U Lose.” And in announcing his participation in the late-campaign effort, he drew analogies between U.S. and Haitian politics that would strike some as, perhaps, a tad alarmist.
Jay-Z to Potentially Work With Obama in 2012
According to the NY Post, Obama’s camp are looking to tap Jigga to “re-energize” the youth and minority vote for 2012.
Deputy White House Press Secretary William Burton was quoted saying:
“I can’t believe you’ve finally heard the chatter about him replacing Larry Summers. In all seriousness, keep in mind he was pretty active during the 2008 election, so I don’t think it’d surprise anyone that he would be involved again. But it’s a little premature.”
They say the camp likes Jay because he’s “a respectable celebrity who can reignite their message of hope.” I’d have to agree!

Top 5 MTV MC's
(Video) MTV’s Top 10 MC’s of 2010 # 5: Rick Ross
MTV Shows
Bawse! I haven’t agreed with much up to this point (like the last one…Nicki at number 6?! As if!) but I think this is a perfect spot for Ricky Rozay. He’s proved time and time again he can sell records and make hits, as well as hold his own on tracks with some big names. Hit the jump to see what MTV has to say about the Miami native.

Shyne's Open Letter To Def Jam
Def Jam is dying....
Thanks L.A. Reid! Middle fingers to you too!!!
Antonio L.A. Reid, quite frankly, doesn't give a curse word about Hip-Hop!!! He doesn't get it. He fails to comprehend the holy institution that is Def Jam. How a Jewish guy named Rick & an African [American] guy from Hollis queens by the name of Russell [set] the foundation for a billion dollar industry from an NYU dorm is beyond him....it offends chairman Reid that these hoodlums & criminals call themselves musicians...whatever happened to the days of Shalimar and "Tender Lover"... F**king rappers!!! Mr. Reid doesn't understand that Nas & Ghostface Killer are modern day prophets...The Roots are Mozart, Shyne is Moses & Kanye is Van Gogh...How else do you make the colossal mistake of not keeping arguably the most influential rapper/rocker (Hovito) around.

Lil Dap, “[People] Didn’t Give it up to Guru the Way it Was Supposed to.”
It’s been over 10 years since we last heard from Group Home. In 1999, the Brooklyn duo (LIl’ Dap and Melachi the Nutcracker) that was ushered into the game through Guru and DJ Premier, released their second album, A Tear for the Ghetto. And while the offering was a far cry from the group’s much-lauded debut Living Proof (1995), it stood as another chapter in the Gang Starr Foundation history. This past April, another chapter was written when Guru—Lil’ Dap and Melachi’s mentor—passed after a bout with cancer.

Jay-Z ‘Can’t Believe’ Some of the Lyrics He’s Written
In Jay-Z’s upcoming book, “Decoded,” the superstar MC examines his career via a close analysis of his most famous lyrics. That, of course, required that his lyrics be written out — something Jay hasn’t actually done since 1996, when he scratched out the words to “Can I Live” for his debut “Reasonable Doubt.” Jay-Z, who has described his creative process as “no paper, no pen, just listen to the music,” appeared in Miami earlier this week.
He was there to celebrate the launch of his partnership with search engine Bing — which involved an internet-driven, international scavenger hunt to locate pages from the memoir — where the lyrics to his 2000 hit “Big Pimpin’ ” were revealed in dramatic fashion, printed in giant type on the floor of the Delano hotel’s pool.
Ironically, that’s the one song Jay admits he had a hard time

#81 Hip-Hop Mugshot - Gangsta Boo
On July 23rd, 2009 an armed robbery occurred at the Dollar General Store at Olive Branch, Mississippi.
The suspect was armed with a revolver and ordered the store clerks to help him bag the money and then demanded they lie down on the floor while he fled the scene. A warrant was obtained for Marcus Curtis for Armed Robbery. Lola Chantrelle Mitchell (aka Gangsta Boo), has also been charged in this case with Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery.
Gangsta Boo turned herself in and then released under a $100,000 bond pending a January 5 court date.
Gangsta Boo issued this official statement:
"I, Lola C. Mitchell aka Gangsta Boo, was not, I repeat, was not involved in any kind of conspiracy of any kind involving a robbery.
I am being implicated false on statements and terms. I have no connections with any unlawful activities with the suspect Marcus Curtis or anyone else involved in this matter.
I was neither questioned nor informed of any such charges brought against me before a warrant was issued which lead me to turn myself in.
I feel like I have been publicly slandered and targeted because of my career, I am innocent on all charges and the truth will prevail in the end."

#71 Rapper Mugshot - Insane Clown Posse
The guys who used to beef with Eminem got arrested in in 1998 on assault charge when they got into a brawl at a Waffle House in Indianapolis.
But then again, when HAVEN'T you seen a brawl at the Waffle House. I've seen at least 4 myself.

#61 Producer Mugshot - Scott Storch
The terrified looking white guy in this picture is non other than platinum Hip-Hop producer Scott Storch.
In April of 2009, Storch was arrested for Grand Theft Auto.
Atlas Leasing claims that Storch leased a Bentley in 2006 and never gave it back. This was the same Bentley that he gave to Lil Kim when he was smashing it. The repo man showed up at Kim's house the next day and took the Bentley back.

#51 Rapper Mugshot - Warren G
Snoop's homie Warren G aka Warren Griffin, III was arrested in 2008 in LA and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell.
He Warren was pulled over after running a red light, and when officers searched the car they found a large amount of marijuana.
But truthfully, isn't the best quality mugshot you've ever seen? It almost likes like a scene from a movie.

#41 Rapper Mugshot - Steady B
In the 80's, Philly rapper Steady B was the man.
But by 1996, as the spotlight began to dim, Steady came up with the great idea of robbing a bank. During the botched robbery, a female police officer was killed.
Shortly after, Steady was picked up, found guilty, and sentenced to life in prison.

#31 Rapper Mugshot - Shyne
In 1999, Shyne was convicted of assault, reckless endangerment and gun possession for the December 27, 1999 club shooting that involved Puffy andJennifer Lopez.
Shyne kept his mouth shut and ended up doing 10 years.
When he was set to be released this year, authorities realized that he wasn't techinically a US citizen and deported him to Belize.

#21 Rapper Mugshot - Young Jeezy
In 2006, Jeezy (Jay Jenkins) and his crew were allegedly involved in a shootout in Miami. When police pulled them over, they found a Semi under his seat and another pistol near his armrest.
Not sure what happened with this case, but apparently Jeezy didn't do any time for it.

#11 Rapper Mugshot - Da Brat
Did you ever wonder what would happen to you if you smashed a waitress in the face with a bottle of Rum?
Just ask Shawntae Harris aka Da Brat - she got 3 years in prison for that. Assuming she doesn't shank anybody in prison, she should be getting out in 2011.

#1 Rapper Mugshot - Andre 3000
Seems like 3 Stacks was arrested earlier this year for driving 109 in a 65 zone in his Porsche near Atlanta. Andre Benjamin's excuse was that he had "missed an exit". I guess the cop wasn't an Outkast fan.
